Our Favorite Fish Tacos

This is absolutely the best fish taco recipe we have tried! Try it for yourself with Berryman Halibut and let us know what you think!

Ingredients

Slaw

  • 5 Cups Red Cabbage Shredded
  • 3 Tbsp Minced Red Onion
  • 1/2 Cup Cilantro
  • 3 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 11/2 Tsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

Chipotle Sauce

  • 3/4 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 Chipotle Chiles + 1 Tsp Adobo Sauce
  • 1 Large Clove Garlic

 Fish

  • 1 1/2 lbs Fish (Halibut)
  • 12 Corn Tortillas
  • Lime

Beer Batter

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Pepper
  • 1 Cup Lager

 

Instructions

For Slaw: Toss cabbage, onions, cilantro, vinegar, oil and salt

For Sauce: blend mayo, lime juice, chipotles with sauce, and garlic

For Batter: Wisk flour, salt, pepper and then add lager. Mix until smooth

To fry fish: In skillet over medium heat add 1/2 inch vegetable oil until temp 350 degrees. Dip fish fillets (you may cut to desired size) into batter and coat. Place in pan and fry about 2 minutes per side until brown.

Assemble Taco by placing slaw, sauce, and fish in tortilla. Serve with wedge of lime.
